Avery’s first dance recital was the weekend of June 20th-22nd. This was such a fun weekend and verryyyyy busy. Dress rehearsals, two performances (three for the big girls) and pictures on Sunday. The excitement of the weekend reminded me so much of being young and getting those butterflies before going on stage. It was so fun to also watch the older girls/boys, especially the graduating seniors in high school. They all work so hard and are so passionate about dancing. Their enthusiasm is infectious! Avery was part of a large dance that danced to “Stars and Stripes Forever” so about an 8 minute routine. Her teacher decided to combine all of her ballet classes from Avery’s age up to pre-teens. My husband was doing a big no-no and videotaping in the audience but he got most of her part. They were supposed to 1. run on stage and do arabesques 2. point and tap and plié 3. do a few sautés 4.blow a kiss and 5. run in a big circle off stage waving bye <—- this was the part my hub forgot to get on video, which is basically the cutest part because what 3-year-old doesn’t love to run around and wave?
Looks just like all that right? 🙂
Avery’s best friend Noah came Friday night and brought her violet roses because purple is her favorite color, i mean the cuteness was almost tangible.
Thank you Georgia’s School of Dance for such a sweet group of dancers and teachers! i hope we have many more recitals to come!
